Daddy Daughter Date Night

It's the first day of school and it looks like Me Baby Girl have some time to waste. Don't let her fool you; this is the first time she has been on her belly without screaming.

I got home from work at about 2:00 today and picked Bailey up from our neighbors house. There are a lot of people in our court who are stay at home mom's. Lora doesn't go to work untill 12:00, so she only ends up being there for 2 hours.

After we got home, she slept for about 3 hours. She doesn't usually take naps and that makes her cranky in the evenings. Today she has been pretty happy though. I worked on school work the whole time she was sleeping. Right before she got up I did the dishes; I have to say that so Lora can't say I never do anything. I have witnesses now. Anyway, after Bailey got up from her nap, I helped her stand up for a while and then we took some pictures.

This Baby is so camera shy. It doesn't matter how hard she is laughing; as soon as the camera comes out, she will just stare at you and not make any faces. We were lucky to get her ok in this one. I think she was too busy concentrating, on keeping her head up, to notice the camera. I got a few good pictures though.

Bailey is in her swing right now; talking to herself. She is starting to finally make more noises than just crying. She will sit there and mumble to herself all day. Right now she sounds like she is trying to sing; she definately has Lora's voice. Or maybe she is just yelling at me because I am ignoring her. I guess I should give the little brat some attention. Here are a few more pictures.

Fair

For my Birthday we went up to my Grandparents house and then went to the Morgan County Fair. It was fun to show Bailey all the animals. She didn't care for the little animals (then chickens and bunnys) but she loved the cows and the pigs. We got a picture of her with the pigs my grandpa raised and our nephew (Ethan) got to show in the pig show. I tried getting a picture of Jeremy, Bailey and the sheep but one of them leaned out of its pen and tried to bite at bailey which must have scared her because she started screaming. Needless to say we were done with the animals after that. There is a slideshow in the working of these pictures and one for the deatons trip too!

Bailey's got teeth

Ben bought this binky for Bailey on his trip to Seattle. It is still to big for her mouth so she spits it out alot, but she will grow into it. He thought it would be so funny for her to use it and he was right! Everytime we put it in we laugh.

Life with the Deatons

Yesterday we went to see fireworks. We sat at the stadium for East High were you could see out over the valley. We were able to see four different fireworks shows from there. The ones from liberty park, the show from the baseball team the bees, and I am not sure were the other two were from. The ones from liberty park were the best though (thanks chalen for the tip). Bailey didn't really get to see them because they weren't as prominent as when your sitting right under them. I really enjoyed them though cause they weren't as loud.

Jeremy had an appointment to donate plasma today at the biomat in taylorsville. He went through the whole screening process and was getting the physical done when he found out he wasn't able to donate because he lived in Germany for more than six months between 1980-1990. Life Sera, the plasma bank I work for requires five years overseas though so I am going to double check and see if he qualifies, then set him up with an appointment there. It turns out it will be better for him because it is right across the street from our apartment and I can be the one to poke him!!! I have an appointment at the one jeremy went to today on August seventh so hopefully I will have no problems although Jeremy said they didn't mention anything about time spent in Asia.

My Birthday is next Friday and we will be going to the Morgan County fair where I think our nephew Ethan will be showing a pig. Jeremys siblings also will be out for the week for EFY at Weber State so hopefully we will be doing something fun one night with them. At least they will finally get to see their niece which means Beau and Andrea and Zac will be the last ones in our immediate families to have not seen her.
Lora or Jeremy?????????

Bailey went to see the pediatrician today. At two months old she is now 9lb 15oz, which puts her in the 22% Centile. She has now reached 22.5in in Length, which is in the 57% Centile. It looks like we've got a tall skinny baby. Her head is 39cm; 57% Centile.

She had to get all of her shots today and is not feeling well. Although, she is being very happy today.

The dress she is wearing in the picture is actually her 4th of July dress. She will probably be wearing it again in a few days. It is hard to tell if she actually likes fireworks or not. She was not feeling well during the 4th of July. I think the random big explosions were catching her by suprise. We look forward to letting her see some more fireworks in a few days, but we are not sure exactly where we will go.

Bailey is a very strong baby, but I do not think she will start crawling or walking very fast; she is very lazy. It seems a lot easier for her to lay on her belly and cry until someone moves her, rather than actually roll herself over. We are giving her more tummy time now though, so she should start to progress pretty quickly.

This is probably the cutest baby I have every seen. I think she is a little spoiled though...

I am not sure what shes doing with this one?

Apparently this is a comfortable position.
