Bailey weighs 22.69 lbs and is 30.5 in tall. She is very short for her age (17% Centile), but her weight matches what it should be at her hight (25% Centile). Her head is still big at 18.5 (63% Centile). She still doesn't say too many words, but the doctor said 4 or 5 are normal for this age.

18 Month Checkup
Bailey went to the doctors today to get her 18 month checkup. Apparently she remembered the 4 shots she got last time because she became hysterical as soon as we got in the room. She didn't want to go near the doctor and she cried as soon as the nurse came in the room to give her her shot.

Black and White
Model
We went into JCPenneys yesterday for Bailey to get her 18 month pictures. When arriving at our appointment, we discovered that they had multiple pictures of Bailey posted in the store on display. The pictures that were posted were from her 12 month photos. They were all arranged in a frame that held 5 or 6 pictures. She also had pictures in their display books. Altogether, there were 10 to 15 pictures of Bailey on display at the store.

Beware Hotmail!
I just spent the last hour trying to find Jennifer's paper for school. She sent it to herself in an e-mail and when she opened the attachment she selected open, rather than save as (which I highly recommend doing anytime you get a document out of your e-mail). After opening the document from within her hotmail account, she clicked the little disk in the corner of word that saves the file. The file saved and on she went with her life. After typing 5 pages, she saved and closed the document. Much to her surprise, the document was no where to be found. After spending a good deal of time searching the computer, I found a workaround online.
Apparently Word (Microsoft Product) automatically saved the file in the temporary internet files (Microsoft Again) and the search features within Vista (Yep it's Microsoft as well) are too stupid to find the files. After unlocking certain features in my folders and downloading a file search program called Agent Ransack (Definitely not Microsoft), I was able to locate the file and save it to the desktop. Thank you Microsoft for being dumb enough to have a file created with your system, transfered through your mail, and searched for with your software appear to completely disappear.

Monkey
Here is a picture of a monkey in a tree. Bailey loves monkeys and being outside. I think that leaving here up in the tree was a little intimidating. In our photography class at school, we have learned how to use photoshop to edit images. Originally, Lora's hand could be seen in the picture, but we were able to successfully remove it without making it obvious. I bet you can't see where it was... actually, you can online. The quality of the photos are significantly reduced when uploading to the blog.

Outside
It was a nice day today. We decided to let Bailey play outside for a while before the snow starts to come. She really loves being outside. It is getting difficult to watch her because she can move around so well, but she is still uncoordinated enough to get hurt climbing on the playground. Hopefully by spring she will be big enough to realize it is not a good idea to walk off the edge of the platform by the slide.

Halloween
On Halloween, we were in charge of the ward party. Bailey was a Monkey, Lora was a Fairy, and I was Appius Claudius Pulcher Caecus (Bailey picked out the sword). During the activity, the kids were able to carve pumpkins and go Trick-or-Treating in a musical chairs fashion. Bailey had a lot of fun and started to figure out how to Trick-or-Treat. It took a while to get here to realize she had to hold her bag. once she got the hang of it, see walked around taking candy out of her bag and placed it into the sacks of the other kids.
Swimming
Here is a picture of Bailey when she went swimming up at the condos in the canyons. She loves to swim, but seems to prefer being in the deep end, as opposed to the kiddy pool. Even though she is not yet 18 months old, she has gotten really good at laying on her back in the water. She doesn't float on her own yet, but she still has a year or two before she needs to start breaking records.
